Born in Russia, Alexander Zorin studied fine art at the University of Moldova in Kishinev. From a Russian architect Uri Tumanyan, he studied the method of Analytical Art originated by great Russian artist Pavel Filonov (1883-1941). Since moving to the U.S. in 1993, he has been creating and painting murals on commission for churches in southeastern Michigan as well as Detroit. He lives and works in Novi, Michigan.
